GCSE Geography Coastal Fieldtrip to Walton on the Naze – Friday 19th September
All students who take GCSE Geography must undertake fieldwork; a compulsory unit of their course. This controlled assessment unit accounts for 25% of their final grade; if they do not partake in the fieldwork they are unable to score highly on the controlled assessment.
Students will be taken to Walton on the Naze by coach, leaving the Academy very promptly at 8.30am. The coach will return by 5pm. Students will be expected to wear school uniform, but they must wear comfortable shoes or trainers for walking. They must bring a waterproof coat and jumper as weather at the coast is unpredictable. Students will need a packed lunch, as there is likely to be no opportunity to buy any food or drink whilst at Walton on the Naze. Paper and clipboards will be provided. Pencil cases are vital for writing and sketching. A digital camera is highly desirable.
